Billing Policy

This Billing Policy explains how and when you are charged when you place an order with Homewkrs, operated by TECH STATION LIMITED (Company Number 06672220, VAT Number 948328390). By completing a purchase, you agree to the billing terms set out below. Please read this policy alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

When You Are Billed

Payment for your order is taken in full at the point of checkout, at the time you place your order. We do not operate instalment, deferred or recurring billing for standard purchases; the total shown on your order summary is the amount that will be charged to your chosen payment method. You will receive an order confirmation by email once payment has been successfully authorised and captured.

Currency, Pricing and VAT

All prices on Homewkrs are displayed and charged in pounds sterling (GBP, £). Prices shown include UK Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate, so the price you see is the price you pay. Standard UK delivery is free, and any costs that apply to your order will be clearly itemised at checkout before you confirm payment. There are no hidden fees or surcharges. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following secure payment methods, all of which are displayed at checkout:

  • PayPal – the only payment method we offer. Our entire checkout is handled securely by PayPal.
  • You can pay using your PayPal balance, or with any major credit or debit card processed securely through PayPal – a PayPal account is not required to check out.

The available options may vary slightly depending on your device and browser. Only the methods presented on the checkout page are accepted.

Secure, PCI-Compliant Processing

Your payment is processed entirely by PayPal, a trusted, PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant payment provider. All transactions are encrypted using secure SSL/TLS technology to protect your information while it is transmitted. Additional authentication measures, such as 3-D Secure or PayPal account verification, may be applied to help confirm that you are the genuine account or cardholder.

We Never Store Your Full Card Details

Because every payment is taken through PayPal, Homewkrs never collects, sees or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code (CVV). These details are entered directly into our payment provider’s secure systems and are handled solely by them. We only receive confirmation from PayPal of whether a payment was approved or declined, together with the limited information needed to manage your order. Information we do hold is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law.

How the Charge Appears on Your Statement

When your payment is taken, the charge will appear on your bank or card statement under a descriptor associated with Homewkrs or our parent company, TECH STATION LIMITED. If you do not recognise a charge or have any query about a transaction, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank, and we will be happy to help identify and resolve it quickly.

Failed, Declined or Incomplete Payments

If a payment is declined or cannot be completed, your order will not be processed and no goods will be dispatched. A decline may occur for reasons such as insufficient funds, incorrect details, an expired card, or your bank’s or PayPal’s security checks. In some cases your bank may show a temporary authorisation hold; where an order does not complete, this hold is released automatically by your bank, typically within a few business days. To complete your purchase, please check your details and try again, use a different funding source within PayPal, or contact PayPal or your card issuer.

Refunds and Cancellations

Where you are entitled to a refund, including under your statutory rights and our 90-day returns window, refunds are made to the original payment method used at checkout. We process eligible refunds within 7 business days of receiving your returned item, with no restocking fees. This policy does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
